**Description: It consists of a mixture of hydrated ferrous phosphate, ferric phosphate and some hydrated oxides of iron. A greenish blue amorphous powder, odourless and tasteless. Insoluble in water and alcohol, readily soluble in hydrochloric acid. Its colour darkens on exposure to air.
